I
Meet the Doc
Kelly Neale (Bolton)
I grew up in Shortsville NY and have been surrounded by animals from day one. Horses, dogs, cats, you name it and it was part of my family. It was from my upbringing that I learned that these animals, no matter what the species, are part of the family and it is your responsibility to take care of them. They can't speak, they can't tell you what hurt's, they rely totally on their owners. This is why I chose the path I did. I wanted to be able to not only recognize when these animals have a problem, but also have a way to put them on the path to recovery.
I spent 4 lovely years after high school residing on Keuka Lake and received a B.S. from Keuka college in 2007. After that I pursued my dreams and travelled to the island of St. Kitts where after spending 3 years, followed by 1 year in Stillwater Oklahoma, I received my DVM from Ross University.
After graduation in 2011 I was added to the team at The Country Vet. While there I gained a lot of great experience in both equine and small animal medicine. Through the numerous cases I saw during those 3 years I was able to increase my surgical capabilities, confidently initiate diagnostic work ups, and comfortably make crucial decisions. I added multiple species to the practice adding horses, donkeys, white tail deer, elk, and the occasional goat. My time there gave me the opportunity to grow in many ways and decide where the next chapter in life was going to take me.
As years go by and the journey of my practice continues I find myself growing more holistic in nature and aiming to find energetic and nutritional ways to heal animals. Don't get me wrong, traditional medicine and surgery has its place and always will in my practice however I have been impressed and humbled by my successes with this alternative approach.
